He was born in Michigan in 1975, and grew up in a rural farming community in central Wisconsin. Craig Thompson took me right along on his travel adventures and I felt as though I were traveling with a friend, very intimate and warm and the drawings made it so easy to see in your mind's eye. Wonderful! I am saving it to give to my traveling daughter when she comes to visit.
A unique take on a travel adventure!A man draws his way around the world and recounts the adventures he has in both words and illustrations. It's a unique way of experiencing the world and what a fun way it was! The illustrations are excellent and he captures the expressions of the people, the chaos of the cities, the sand of the desert and everything in between.It's a unique take on a travel diary and it's very easy to follow, fun to read and you get the sense that this author really would be a good travel companion. He observes yet immerses himself fully into each culture and country he is in.
